The little girl had enormous eyes.

“Do you need some help?” she asked, voice small.

“Uhhhhhhh sure,” Jenny said. The little girl crawled underneath the train seat with ease, relieving Jenny from her awkward stumbling on the floor. She emerged with a rose gold iPhone in her hands.

“Um, thanks,” Jenny said, sitting back up on the seat as the little girl did the same.

“My mom doesn’t let me have an iPhone,” the little girl said, big brown eyes unblinking.

“Um, okay.”

“Do you have any games? Can I play one?”

“Um, sure.”

“Thanks!” The girl jumped up and ran away as a voice on the speaker announced the next station.

The train started driving again and from the window, Jenny saw the little girl skipping away with the rosegold iPhone still clutched in her hands.
